Desperate Housewives 8.12 “What’s the Good of Being Good” Review

We all have been anticipating this final season, and hoping that this season will not be filled with medium quality episodes, like most of the episodes of mediocre quality, but unfortunately that’s exactly what we got, despite of our high hopes since it’s the last season that we would get mind blowing episodes, but we are hoping that the script writers are saving the best for last.

To say the truth, Lynette’s storyline wasn’t that interesting, although it had its moments, as for her date with the hairdresser, it ended in an awfully matter, although we all predicted that it will end badly, and of course, it was because was doing the best at being Lynette, making a long list of her plans, and criticizing the heck out of the guy, no wonder it ended that way.

As for Bree, it was an amazing episode, as the title states, men were falling on her from the skies, although her drinking habits didn’t decrease. But it wasn’t actual love; it was only one night stand with strangers. But although the storyline for Bree was a little bit interesting, but it left us heartbroken seeing her like this, it seems that she is going down a spiral, even with the help of Mrs. McCluskey who told Reverend Sykes ,it didn’t help much, she was still seeing strangers and her drinking didn’t change.

As for the Claudia and Susan fiasco, that resulted from Claudia’s suspensions about a secret love affair between Susan and her husband Alejandro, it was rather funny after Claudia went to Susan’s house, and Susan was furious and accused Claudia of stalking her because she found the whereabouts of her house, but Claudia took it back to Susan by making fun of her, because she is the one who gave her a check with her home address on it. And during all of this Gaby decided to confront and spill everything to Claudia, concerning Alejandro and I have to say, the scene touched our hearts greatly, when Gaby was confessing about her history with Alejandro, and the horrible things he committed against her when she was still young, and it was also heartbreaking when Marisa threw herself onto her mother’s shoulders. Although viewers were almost certain that the whole Alejandro story would be over after this, but that changed with Claudia mentioned the carpet and wine, but we never knew if she really knew anything. This whole scene was amazing, which makes us wish that Susan and Gaby would go along and throw the past behind their backs.

And lastly, as for the proposal Ben gave to Renee, it ended surprisingly after he confessed and told her about his agenda about the real reason of the proposal, at least he didn’t have it in him to trick her, but despite of this, we still get the feeling that he is withholding some secrets. And the large amount of cash in his possession makes us even more suspicious about his intentions.
